Whale season is my favourite season of the year. Time spent with the whales is always incredibly special and something I feel is an absolute honour and privilege. These incredible creatures have had a wild and remarkable trajectory through history. And the humpback whales are undeniably one of Australia’s most phenomenal conservation comeback stories. The Heart Atlas is currently pulling together a creative fundraiser for Palestine and looking for values-aligned collaborators to work together on this.
Australia's new environment minister, 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘺 𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘵, along with the re-elected Labor government have 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 for Australia's largest (and most polluting) gas project -- 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲'𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗳. The life of this oil and gas project has now been extended to 2070.
