The Rising Wild is a factual entertainment documentary series taking audiences on an immersive adventure to uncover the extraordinary stories of solution-makers from around the world. Meet those who are harnessing the power of nature, community and Indigenous wisdom to address our escalating climate challenges with creativity, courage and heart.
Through the lens of Olivia Katz, American photographer, writer, documentary filmmaker, this series follows her journey across continents as she grapples with some of our planet’s most complex and interconnected environmental and social problems. An honest look at our planet’s most wicked problems serves as the springboard for our exhilarating hunt for solutions and their makers.
We journey together, to discover those who are helping communities adapt, restore and regenerate--thus painting a picture of communities thriving alongside nature in an ecoystem in which evidence and action inspire change.
Each episode focuses on the most equitable, just and ecological solutions being implemented around the world, with episode 1 launching us in Australia.
The Rising Wild brings vividly into focus a vision of life in which humanity thrives alongside nature, in an ecosystem in which evidence and action are inspiring tangible change.
We’ll be getting our hands dirty alongside those who are:
planting microforests in once abandoned city corners
farming regeneratively and breathing life back into their landscapes
